We are looking to add a number of new members to the committee that is responsible
for the general running and development of the PMF.
All Committee Members give their services for free and fit their involvement with the PMF
around other commitments and calls on their time.
Due to current members’ commitments elsewhere, we are recruiting for a new committee member to take responsibility for our Job Vacancies facility. This is a voluntary position and will only require a relatively small amount of time per month.
The Job Vacancies page is the most visited part of the PMF website, and is an important resource to our members. We have robust systems in place for finding out about and publicising Production and Technical Management vacancies. You can see the webpage here.
The Job Vacancies Lead would organise and oversee the daily posting of job vacancies on our website and social media platforms, delegating it to others when they are not available. We source vacancies through submissions direct to our website, daily emails from Arts Council England and The Stage, and automatic notifications from major employers. In the last year we have posted 250 vacancies.
If you want to make a difference to PMF members seeking new roles, to help employers get the best candidates for their vacancies, and to be among the first to know about job opportunities, this is the role for you. You can find out more about it here.
We are looking to expand the number of Student and Young Members Associates (SYMs) on the committee.
SYMs represent and promote the interests of student and young PMF members in everything that the PMF does, and also take on specific Assistant Roles.
Each of these roles assists a full committee member in the running of a certain aspect of our work from Administration to Social Media to Membership. While undertaking a role you will have the opportunity to learn useful transferable skills.
We are recruiting for at least one Job Vacancies Assistant, to help with the day to day work.
As Job Vacancies Assistant you would:
Monitor emails from various organisations for job opportunities
Monitor jobs which are posted via the PMF website and Google Forms
Post jobs on the PMF Job Opportunities page (which you can see here)
Post on our social media channels
Check for job opportunities on other social media channels
What you would get out of this assistant role
An up to date knowledge of current job vacancies
Enhancing your knowledge of theatres and other venues
Expanding your IT knowledge and use
An opportunity to help PMF members find new roles and promotions
We are looking too for a Membership Assistant to help with our membership database
As Membership Assistant you would:
Monitor new signups and add them to our mailing system
Produce sign up statistics for Committee Meetings
Check and update our Heads of Production spreadsheet
Update members details as required
Help to develop a New welcome system
What you would get out of this assistant role
Expanding your IT knowledge and use, especially use of MailChimp
Understanding how membership systems work
A good knowledge of individual PMF members and their role in the industry
If you are interested in any of these roles, please send a quick email to [email protected]
and we will arrange a Zoom chat or phone call.
